Welcome. Over the next eight weeks you'll go from finding your way around Uncountable to configuring a complete R&D solution on your own — with an optional ninth week to explore connecting it to external systems. Each week you'll read a short section of the Onboarding Guide, practice hands-on in your sandbox, and then meet with your Uncountable Implementations partner to ask questions, review your work, and line up what's next. Stick with it and complete the exercises, and you'll finish the program certified. This is your guide to how it all works.
If anything here doesn't fit how you'd like to learn, tell your Implementations contact and we'll adjust.
This is an 8-week, hands-on program (plus an optional 9th week on integrations) that takes you from platform fundamentals to a fully configured R&D solution. Uncountable's philosophy is that partners learn best by doing and by self-serving with the Onboarding Guide and Bodie AI — so this program is built around you configuring real things, with a weekly session to keep you on track. It's the guided version of onboarding you get for your first engagement; after this, you'll be equipped to support future implementations largely on your own.
The program is config-first and follows the same logical order as a real implementation: you get oriented and learn the data model, you configure the R&D solution across its three pillars — Formulation → LIMS → ELN — and you finish by presenting your work in an acceptance demo. You're learning to configure, not to run the customer-facing scoping process, so the upfront planning stays light and most of your time is spent building. By Week 8 you'll have configured a complete, working material family from end to end.
In Week 1 you'll choose one scientific domain — your "golden thread" — and use it for every exercise, all the way through. You'll grow the same domain step by step: platform setup and a data-model sketch in Week 1, your formulation core in Weeks 2–3, your lab and data capture in Weeks 4–6, and notebooks and analysis in Weeks 7–8 — until it's a fully configured, analysis-ready material family. In the optional Week 9, you'll explore connecting that same domain to external systems through the API.
Sticking to one domain means every week builds on work you already understand, instead of starting over with throwaway examples. Two fully worked examples are in Part 3 to show you what this looks like in practice.
Each week has the same three beats:
| Beat | When | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Read + get your assignment | Before the session | You'll be pointed to one part of the Onboarding Guide plus a set of practice exercises to complete in your sandbox — always applied to your chosen domain. |
| 2. Practice and ask questions | During the week | Work through the exercises at your own pace. Use Bodie AI to ask questions and unblock yourself as you go. Reach out to your Uncountable implementations partner in the approved communication channel (e.g., shared Slack channel). |
| 3. Weekly session (~60 min) | End of the week | Meet with your Implementations partner to get your questions answered, walk through your sandbox work (time permitting), and preview next week. |
Your session is focused on that week's material and the modules it touches — it isn't open-ended Q&A, so bring your specific questions. For anything general, Bodie AI and the guide are your first stop. Bodie taps into our support content to answer your questions. If it can't provide a satisfactory answer, please "thumbs down" the response and provide feedback so Bodie can improve!
